News from our Downeast Mission Team !!!
The Downeast Mission Team is gearing up for their trip to Machias. The team leaves on Sunday, August 1st and returns Saturday, August 7th. The team has held several fundraisers to help pay for the needed building supplies & materials for the projects they will be working on for the week, as well as their food & other expenses. Stay tuned for more on the trip after they return. Our prayers go with the team!! Thank you for giving your time and talents to help our neighbors in need.

Downeast Mission Trip Coordinator
Have you ever heard the expression, "You don't really know someone until you've lived with them for a while." Well, that applies to the people who go on a mission trip together. You certainly get to know each other as you eat meals together in the dining hall, share a cabin with several other people, worship as a group, and work together in small teams for one week. I have found you cannot go on a mission trip without learning something about the others in the group. You also cannot go on a mission trip without learning something about yourself. You spend a week doing things you might never have done before and learning as you work. .
I would invite anyone who would like to get to know others to go on a mission trip. I would advise anyone who would like to find out more about themselves to go on a mission trip. But most importantly, I would encourage anyone who would like to get to know God and what God can do through you to go on a mission trip. It's a great way to get acquainted!
