Have you ever heard the expression, "You don't really know someone until you've lived with them for a while." Well, that applies to the people who go on a mission trip together. You certainly get to know each other as you eat meals together in the dining hall, share a cabin with several other people, worship as a group, and work together in small teams for one week. I have found you cannot go on a mission trip without learning something about the others in the group. You also cannot go on a mission trip without learning something about yourself. You spend a week doing things you might never have done before and learning as you work. .
I would invite anyone who would like to get to know others to go on a mission trip. I would advise anyone who would like to find out more about themselves to go on a mission trip. But most importantly, I would encourage anyone who would like to get to know God and what God can do through you to go on a mission trip. It's a great way to get acquainted!
